Further, Faster

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

“Your threshing season will overlap with the grape harvest, and your grape harvest will overlap with the season of planting grain. You will eat your fill and live securely in your own land.” (Leviticus 26:5, NLT)

TODAY’S WORD

I believe we are living in a day and age when God is accelerating His work in our lives!  I believe that what used to take days, weeks, and even years in times past, God will do in an instant in this day and age.  In an instant, you can receive your breakthrough.  In an instant, you can be promoted on your job.  In an instant, you can receive your healing.  In an instant, your relationship can be restored.  In an instant, that child can change their ways.

Today, believe that God will take you further than you ever thought possible, faster than you ever thought possible.  Trust that your times are in His hands.  Know that He is working behind the scenes on your behalf.  Just like in the days of old, God will accelerate your seasons, and He will thrust you into the blessing and victory He has prepared for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, thank You for Your faithfulness in my life.  Thank You for working behind the scenes on my behalf.  I trust that my times are in Your hands.  I know that You have a good plan for my future, so I open my heart and put my faith and trust totally in You.  In Jesus’ Name, I pray.  Amen.

Redeem the Time

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

“So be careful how you live.  Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise.  Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.” (Ephesians 5:15–16, NLT)

TODAY’S WORD

Time is the most valuable commodity that we have in life.  It’s more valuable than money.  You can make more money, but you can’t make more time.  When you woke up this morning, God gave you a present called “today.”  And with that gift comes a responsibility.  The Scripture tells us to redeem the time, to make the most of every opportunity.  That simply means don’t let it go to waste.  Don’t live this day unfocused, unhappy, negative, or defeated.  Make the most of every day.  God has entrusted you with His life.  He has breathed His very breath into you.  He has put gifts and talents on the inside of you.  You have seeds of greatness deposited in you.  You’re a person of destiny, and you have an assignment and a purpose to fulfill!

I encourage you today to evaluate how you are spending your time.  Refocus your life.  Let go of any distractions.  Shake off any self-pity, any discouragement, any disappointments of the past and run your race with purpose.  Be careful how you live and redeem the time so that you can fulfill the destiny He has prepared for you.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father in heaven, thank You for the gift of today.  I dedicate this day to You.  I dedicate my mind, will, and emotions to You.  Use me this day for Your purposes and keep me on the path You have for me.  In Jesus’ Name, I pray.  Amen.

That You May Be Healed

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

“Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.  The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.” (James 5:16, NLT)

TODAY’S WORD

Relationships are so important in the eyes of God.  As His children, He desires that we live in unity and stay connected with one another.  When we are transparent and pray for each other, something supernatural takes place.  We open the door for God to pour out His abundant blessing and healing in our lives.  When we walk in love and unity, our prayers become more effective, and His power is released through us.

Living in peace and unity doesn’t mean you have to agree with everyone around you all the time.  It means you look for common ground.  It means you reach out to others; you pray for them and help meet their needs.  When we put the needs of others first, God will make sure our own needs are abundantly supplied.  When we live with a servant’s heart toward others, it opens the door for God’s complete healing — physically, spiritually, and emotionally.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father in heaven, thank You for revealing Your truth to my heart.  I choose Your ways above my own and ask that You open opportunities for me to pray for others and open the door for Your healing power.  In Jesus’ Name, I pray.  Amen.

The Greatness of His Favor

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us…raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.” (Ephesians 2:4–7, NKJ)

TODAY’S WORD

Oftentimes, people set their focus on what God has done in the past — how He parted the Red Sea, or stopped the sun for Joshua, or fed thousands of people with just a little boy’s small lunch.  Yes, God has performed many amazing miracles throughout history, and it’s important that we give Him praise and glory.  But at the same time, we also have to look forward to what God wants to do in our lives today.  In this verse, Paul says that “in the ages to come” God would do things that far supersede anything He’s ever done before.  I believe that the “ages to come” that he’s talking about is this day and time we’re living in right now.  God wants to outdo Himself in our generation!

Remember, God is a God of increase.  Where you are today is not where you are supposed to stay.  He has greater levels of His favor and blessing in store for you.  Dare to dream big!  Dare to keep a God-sized vision in front of you!  Dare to take hold of every blessing that the Lord has in store for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father in heaven, thank You for Your faithfulness in my life.  Today, I open my heart and mind to You so that I can see the greatness of what You want to do in my life.  Use me for Your glory.  Thank You for Your favor.  In Jesus’ Name, I pray.  Amen.
