Stored Up Blessings

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

“Oh, how great is Your goodness, which You have laid up for those who fear You, which You have prepared for those who trust in You in the presence of the sons of men!”  (Psalm 31:19, NKJV)

TODAY’S WORD

Scripture talks about how God has blessings stored up for those that honor Him.  Think about that.  God has contracts, houses, ideas, good breaks that already have our names on them!  They’ve been stored up for us.  The question is – how do we see them released?  Number one: by honoring God and keeping Him first place.  Then number two: by making room for them in our thinking.  We’ve got to believe that something big is in our future.  We’ve got to declare His promises over our life.  We have to see with our eyes of faith what God can do.

Today, why don’t we take the limits off God and say, “God, I don’t see how this could happen in the natural world, but I know You are a supernatural God.  I know You have blessings that already have our names on them.  Lord, I just want to thank You for Your far and beyond favor.”

If we live like that, we will see God amaze us with His goodness, and we’ll receive those blessings He has stored up for us!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, thank You for storing up blessings for me.  I choose to honor You and bless You.  I put my faith and hope in You knowing that You will amaze me with Your goodness.  In Jesus’ name, I pray.  Amen.

A Gift from God

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.”  (Ephesians 2:8, NKJV)

TODAY’S WORD

We serve such a loving, gracious, and generous God.  He loves us so much that there isn’t anything He wouldn’t do in order to have a relationship with us.  The Bible tells us that sin separates man from God.  But God doesn’t want to be separated from us.  That’s why He sent His Son into the world — to pay the penalty for sin so that we could live in eternity with Him.

So many people today think they have to earn their way to heaven.  They think they have to be “good enough” or “do the right thing” in order to be accepted by God.  They want to “clean up” before they come to Him.  But notice what today’s verse says — salvation is a gift from God.  We can’t earn a gift.  We don’t pay for it.  We can only receive it by faith.  If we’ve never made Jesus the Lord of our life, let us receive this free gift today.  Let Him fill us with His eternal peace and joy so that we can live the abundant life He has for us.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father in heaven, I come to You today giving You all that I am.  I know I am a sinner thus, I repent of all my sins.  Thank You for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus.  I believe He died and rose for me, and I invite You to be the Lord of every area of my life.  In Jesus’ name, I pray.  Amen.

Say Continually

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

“Let them shout for joy and be glad, who favor my righteous cause; And let them say continually, ‘Let the LORD be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.’ ”  (Psalm 35:27, NKJV)

TODAY’S WORD

Notice in today’s verse, God’s people were commanded to go around saying continually, “Let God be magnified.  He takes pleasure in prospering me.”  I believe one reason they were supposed to say it all the time is so it would get down on the inside of their hearts.

See, when we hear something long enough, we start to believe it.  It starts to affect the way we see things.  I wonder what would happen if, all through the day, we decided to stop dwelling on negative, defeated thoughts like, “I’ll never get out of debt.  My business will never expand.  How can I send my children to college?  It’s so expensive.”  And, what if we started dwelling on thoughts like, “God takes pleasure in prospering me.  Good breaks are in my future.  Explosive blessings are coming my way?”

Today, let the truth of God’s Word sink down into our hearts.  All throughout the day, declare His goodness.  Declare His faithfulness.  Declare His blessings because He delights in seeing us prosper!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, thank You for Your goodness.  Thank You for finding joy in seeing me succeed.  Help me to see my life the way you see it.  Help me to see and declare the blessing and victory You have for me.  In Jesus’ name, I pray.  Amen.

Believe and Declare

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

“It is written: ‘I believed; therefore I have spoken.’  With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak.”  (2 Corinthians 4:13, NIV)

TODAY’S WORD

I know a man who was believing to pay his house off.  It was a standard 30-year mortgage, and he had 23 years left.  In the natural, there was no way he could do it.  But he was bold enough to say, “Father, I want to thank You that You are Jehovah Jireh; the Lord my provider.  I know my job is not my source.  You are my source.  It may look impossible, but I know You can do the impossible.”

Several years ago, he received an inheritance from a family member that he had never met before.  He didn’t even know they were related.  He was able to not only pay his house off, but he paid a friend’s house off as well.  What was that?  Explosive blessings!

Friend, when we believe God, we position ourselves for a miracle.  When we obey His commands, we set ourselves under the open windows of heaven.  When we declare His Word, we activate His power.  Keep standing, keep believing, keep speaking and see the victory and blessing He has in store for us!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, thank You for Your Word which is alive and powerful!  I set my mind on Your promises and choose to declare what You say about me.  Thank You for Your faithfulness as I move forward in the good plan You have for me.  In Jesus’ name, I pray.  Amen.
